HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT FROM APPLE'S DEVELOPER CONFERENCE

Here’s what to expect from Apple’s developer conference
Whether you should be excited for this year’s WWDC all comes down to one question: how much do you love software updates?
Some background: Google has had a rough year when it comes to software quality. It’s issued 67 software fixes since September—46 percent more than in the same period a year earlier. A larger offering of devices and more complex software haven’t made things easy.
It just works: Anticipate less flashy updates from Apple, and more of a focus on reliability in new offerings. Operating system changes will more likely be fixes, rather than new features.
Also expect:
  • Updates to Apple’s AR support.
  • An announcement on “Digital Health,”  a set of tools that will help people use their phone less.
  • Further expansion into the digital-ads space.
  • Celebration of the 10th anniversary of the App Store
  • Opening up the NFC chips in iPhones.
